Ellensburg and Bozeman race re-cap

Over the last two weekends, Husky cycling competed in the CWU and MSU omniums.  We had great weather, tons of fun, and plenty of success.

In Men’s A racing, Danny Koski-Karell took 3rd place in the Montana road race and the time-trial team took 2nd place in Bozeman.

In Men’s B racing, Jordan Louie and Kevin Driscoll placed in the top-10 in the Ellensburg road race and Tony Azevedo placed 4th in the crit.  In Montana, Michael Armfield placed 4th in the crit and 8th in the road race.  The time-trial team placed 3rd in Ellensburg.

Women’s C racing saw a 3rd place in the Ellensburg team time trail and Lisa Doubet taking 6th in the road race.  The following weekend, Liz Patterson placed 4th in the road race and 5th in the crit; Kim Woods took 7th in the same crit.

Men’s C continued Husky Cycling’s winning ways.  Marc Schwatz took first in both the Ellensburg and Montana crits, winning the latter with a spectacular solo break for the final four laps.  Marc also showed his strength in the Montana road race, taking 5th.

In the Men’s D crit in Ellensburg, Brandon Bartell took 2nd.  Brian Wright took 4th in the Montana road race.  The men’s D squad took 1st in the Ellensburg time trail.
