About Essential Baking:
The Essential Baking Company, located just above Gasworks Park in Wallingford, was founded the early 90’s, 1994 to be exact. Just to jog your memory, 1994 was a busy year boasting the Nancy Kerrigan ice-capades, the OJ Simpson trial, Kurt Cobain and the break of the Clinton Scandal. In the midst of all this mile-a-minute upheaval a baker named George DePasquale, along with a couple close friends, decided that it was time that we all go back the basics: good food to share with good friends. The Essential Baking Company was born as a small, local business aiming to bake delicious artisan breads using locally grown organic ingredients. The mantra “local and organic” remains our guiding principle as we bring the very best breads and pastries to the Seattle community, made with the very best ingredients, and baked fresh every morning.

Grand Prize: Free Pizza Baking class with Head Baker George DePasquale ($75 value)
Silver: $25 Gift Certificate to Ivar’s
Bronze: $25 Gift Certificate to Essential Bakery
We will also be awarding a limited number of free boxes of our artisan biscotti and crackers to deserving participants.
